THE MAKING OF THE NEW PEAK TRAM
A multi-year documentary project for The Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels, documenting the people, engineering and construction behind the major upgrade of Hong Kong’s iconic Peak Tram.
Originally planned as a two-year, multi-country production, COVID forced the project to evolve. Working with crews in Zurich, Sydney and Hong Kong, we followed the project from planning and engineering through construction and installation to capture the teams responsible for modernizing the infrastructure while preserving decades of history and tradition.
The result is an in-depth record of the transformation. We captured not just what was rebuilt, but the people, craft, and decisions behind one of Hong Kong’s most significant infrastructure projects.
