JAPAN DRIVING EXPERIENCE
6 DAYS, 5 SHOOTERS, 1 EDITOR
We were commissioned to document a six-day driving journey across Honshu, with a production built to keep pace with the event from start to finish. Five camera crew members covered the journey across multiple locations, supported by a dedicated on-site editor who managed the daily ingest, selects, and content production as the event unfolded.
The team produced hundreds of still photographs, including dedicated drone coverage, alongside 5 social media reels and a full event film. Working across a constantly moving itinerary required a production system to capture multiple aspects of the experience simultaneously, from the cars and driving to guests, interactions, landscapes, destinations, and dining events. At the same time, we maintained a continuous post-production workflow to deliver finished content throughout the six-day journey.
The Peninsula Tokyo last hosted the Japan Driving Experience in 2017. Seven years later, we were thrilled to be back, documenting its return across Japan.
